I enjoy reading the story: The Very Hungry Caterpillar to my students. The book is enriched with many color pictures and a story line that is easy for the early childhood student is understand. I like to take the time to review colors and sight words with y students through the use of this book. We create art projects by making pictures of caterpillars.
I really love this book. I like pretty much all of Eric Carle books. They always grasp the childrens atenttention and they always want to read his books over and over again. I love the fact the book is full of color I also used these with teachng colors to my students. we also did art projects making a caterpillar. I brought in snacks like he ate in the book to introduce possible new foods and I also did a number caterpillar with my students.
ReplyDeleteThis and all of his books are so colorful and has many opportunities for teaching children different skill and introducing them to the food that where eaten in the book.
